An Adventure bike ride was held on 30 Dec.
Four guests and Graeme went for a bit of a ride,
the guests came from Marlo and we met at Wattle Circle
(start of Angora Range Road).
I started from home, going to Omeo for fuel then
Wattle Circle etc, my total kms: 370
The other Creeky Bikers adventure bike, Peter C. was away
for xmas. An interesting array of machinery:

Top left: Trevor on KTM 990 Adventure 2008, super good performer.

Top right: Don on Ducati Multistrada 1000 2005, pure class.

Middle left: Mark on Aprilia Caponord 1000 2005, European master.

Middle right: Robert on BMW R80 800 1990,  Classic! Road bike!

Left: Graeme on the XLV, all of the above except "European"

Left and above: Mark and Don arriving at Wattle Circle.

And so we set off along Angora Range Road, cool with occasional spots of rain
but nothing to cause concern, just kept the dust down a bit. We stopped along the way to admire the views. These guys just automatically park in neat camera efficient order, well done! The country is looking great after the rains.

Maybe it was the altitude but Mark felt the need to inform, educate
and direct. "We cant be that lost!!" he was heard to mutter.

So we followed Angora and Burwood then Brookville Roads to the
Cassilis Road then a bit of a blast up to Omeo for lunch.
Talked to some fellow bikers and the Advertiser took our picture and
names for publication in the future??

The it was back along the Cassilis Road to Mt Delusion Road and
a stop here and there. We made our way onto Engineers Road and
headed for Bruthen----here at Springs Track turnoff-----

----here stopping for a look at the Mt Delusion Hut-----

-----after many kms along fabulous roads we made it to a well earned
cuppa at Bruthen, from left, Mark, Don, Robert, Trevor with Graeme
taking the pic. Robert, on the road BMW had no problem and kept up
with the rest, a reminder perhaps that not so long ago you just rode the
bike without worrying about the road surface.

I then headed for home via the Great Alpine Road, they headed for Marlo,
happy new year to everyone.

We all had a fantastic day, thanks heaps.

Extra bonus section!

So while waiting for the guests to arrive I walked up to the bend to get a shot as they
came around the bend.
Almost missed them as there isn't much warning, noise wise, and  if traffic is near from the
other direction there is almost no warning. But I kept hearing bikes and so had to take a
pic thinking it was them so we have a few strays and here they are:
Left and below right were together, two Triumphs, the black one a "Tiger" "adventure"
type i think.

Left middle: a bit interesting, a CX500 or 550 Honda from the 1980's with trailer!

Left bottom: big Yamaha, FJ 1100 or 1200?

Bottom right: a Harley and evidence of the need to think about the flora.
